Aligner Instructions

Wearing and Using your Aligners

Wear your aligners 21-22 hours per day. Change your aligners weekly, unless instructed otherwise. Remove for eating and drinking anything other than plain water and to clean. Place in the provided aligner case when not wearing aligners. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend putting your case in a drawer or cabinet, animals like to chew through the case to get to the aligners. Please brush your teeth before putting aligners back in to avoid any decay or white spots that may form on your teeth. Brush your aligners with a tooth brush, tooth paste, and cool water to clean them. Do not use hot water, do not boil, or use harsh chemicals to clean aligners this will damage them.

Aligner Inserting

When inserting aligners gently push the aligners over the front teeth, then apply equal pressure to the sides to place. Do not bite aligners to place, this can damage the aligners.

Aligner Removal

On one side of your mouth, use your finger tip on the inside of your back molar to slowly pull the aligner off of your molar. Repeat this process on the other side of your mouth before trying to completely remove the aligner. Once aligner is disengaged from the molars on both sides, you should be able to slowly work your way forward gently prying the aligner away from your teeth with your fingertips.

Daily Care and Maintenance of Aligners

Clean aligners prior to putting them in. You can use your tooth brush and tooth paste. Thoroughly rinse aligners as well.

Rubber Gum Chewies

Use the rubber gum chewies during the 1st few days for 5-10 minutes with each new set of aligners until they sit comfortably on your teeth.

Emery Board

Use this to slightly file down any rough edges on the aligner.
